Field Applications Engineer—Internet Protocols
Location: San Francisco, California.
Responsible for pre/post sales support for our industry leading Turbo-Treck suite of TCP/IP Protocols and related application software, designed for embedded systems.
Requirements:
Elmic Systems Inc. is looking for an individual to provide pre and post sales support for our advanced Internet Protocol Software products. Candidate should have a strong technical background in Real-Time Internet Protocol Software application, including demonstrated ability to integrate TCP/IP source code into an array of proprietary designs and provide design review. Software experience should demonstrate knowledge of TCP/IP RFC standards, along with a strong understanding of multiple processor and real-time operating embedded platforms. Technical support and ability to work well with customers is a plus. Industry experience with an embedded software provider, preferably Internet Protocols or related company would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of industry experience in a technical role, and some exposure to the product marketing side of a business. Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills are essential. This individual will interface with internal engineering, sales and senior management as well as work with OEM customers and corporate channel technology partners. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a related Bachelor's degree with demonstrated technical experience is required.


Protocol Development Engineer (4 positions available)
Location: San Francisco and Riverside, California.
This position requires a self-motivated software development engineer to design and implement Internet Protocols for embedded systems.
Requirements:
Very Strong "C" Skills
Experience with developing hardware device drivers (i.e. interfacing with hardware such as UART, Ethernet controller, etc.
Experience with developing Embedded Real-Time Systems
Experience with using Real-Time Operating Systems
Good Writing Skills
3+ Years Experience developing with Internet Protocols (i.e. using BSD sockets API, SNMP, HTTP, SMTP, etc.)
Experience writing a software design specification
Experience developing protocol software from Internet RFCs would be helpful
Experience with formal software engineering processes and design methodologies would be helpful
Experience with IPsec and/or IPv6 is desired
Experience with RTP and RTCP is desired


Product Support Engineer
This position requires a self-motivated software engineer to provide technical support to our customers.
Requirements:
Strong "C" Skills
Experience with hardware device drivers (i.e. interfacing with hardware such as UART, Ethernet controller, etc.)
Experience with developing Embedded Real-Time Systems
Experience with Embedded Real-Time Systems
